Voxco Agent is a web service through which interviewers (agents) communicate with the Command Center for conducting CATI interviews with or without Pronto telephony support. HTML communications with the web service, which is installed on the same server as Voxco's Interviewer Web service, require the use of Internet Explorer version 5 and above.
Voxco Agent supports CATI collection modules, with or without the use of Pronto telephony modules which may be Predictive, Non-Predictive or Preview.
The user interface also supports the recording and playback of sound files when configured in the collection module's questionnaire.
An interviewer's telephone connection may be either:
Local.
The workstation's
telephone is connected to a Pronto dialer through an MSI line. The identity
of the correct MSI line is provided in the URL command line. To access
Voxco Agent, the interviewer simply runs a shortcut from the desktop which
already has the correct workstation specified.
Example: http://IPaddress/Voxco.Agent/Login.aspx?vxwks=workstation name
Remote.
The interviewer accesses Voxco Agent by running a shortcut from the desktop
which has the remote mode specified.
Example. http://IPaddress/Voxco.Agent/Login.aspx?remote=true
The telephone connection is established in one of two ways, dependent
on the user's (interviewer's) profile:
Inbound. The interviewer dials a specific telephone number on the Pronto Server to establish the connection.
Outbound. The Pronto Server dials the interviewer's telephone number to establish the connection. This number is automatically taken from the user's (interviewer's) profile.
